These boards come in two variations: one with a closed panel and one with an open-worked decoration. The present one has a pointed ens below by which the shield was driven in the ground during the emakame feast, celebrating life and death. The panel is subdivided in three planes by means of two horizontal lines.
These boards were given the name of an ancestor.
