Additional information
Catalogue entry read ‘Bali’ and ‘keris handle’, but it is definitely a handle of Batak origin. It is a well worked-out configuration of a central singa figure with an anthropomorph below the muzzle. Two diminutive squatting figures on its head and a quadruped on its back bitten in the tail by a snake. On the sockle four anthropomorphic head with heart-shaped faces appear topped by a dog attacked by a snake.
