Fine example of a pendant pectoral as used in the Southeast and Southwest Moluccas, Traces of tamarinde clearly visible to enhance the colour red. Old Dong-son related spirals around the rim, a star-shaped motif in the centre with a double spiral in between the rays. The eye on top can be related to an ear pendant, representing the vulva.
