Unusual large and hands held in veneration, the purpose of this statue is not immediately clear. Because it lacks power substance it is neither a pangulubalang or pagar, but it seems to fit in the debata hidup sphere of tutelary spirits.
For a similar figure of the same size see Maxwell, Robyn (2010), Life, death & magic, p. 158 left. The hands are in an Indian derived position and in front of the genitalia, described as a pangulubalang or pagar figure.
