Exceptional shield, described in the online catalogue as Awyu, but no such shield has been recorded as coming from this people. In the collection of the Wereldmuseum Leiden (RV-3452-1) there is a shield acquired by the anthropologist Pim Schoorl in the field ca 1955 which has an akin pattern, though its size is much larger. These shields are very rare.
