Additional information
A rare ‘seat of honour’ probably haling from the Abung people in Lampung. A strong Arabian influence is visible in the vegetal carving of the backrest, sesako, flanked by two rows of birds, hornbills, divided by undulatory lines. The photo was taken as can be read in the margin to the left as late as May 1987.
