The bowl shows two anthropomorphic figures to the lefthand side of the semi-symetrically carved back. To the right of these figures two other two other, but headless anthropo- or zoomorphic figures appear which in depiction is uncommon to Papua cultures, but was, for instance, common as a motiv on Siberut, Mentawai.. On the rim of the front of the bowl an other anthropomorphic figure is delineated in contours only.
