The tuntun made along the rivers Pantu, Saribas and Krian were the items which aroused the collector’s minds. (Heppell 1988; 66). Tuntun means ‘the right height’ and they came to man through a myth, in which the sirit helper Segenun told the Iban how to use the measuring stick and how to build traps for various prey animals (mostly boars and deer).
