Remnants of a bygone culture are found in Central Sulawesi where a.o. the Bada live. Either the stone statues found there in the field represent ancestors or deities. What all these stone sculptures have in common is a focus on the head, diminishing the torso to a column or, as is the case here a hourglass shape with stubs for arms and legs.
